TOKA, TENN. - Mary Lou Watson, 88, entered into rest Dec. 6, 2014 at her home in Atoka, Tenn., after a lengthy illness. Born Oct. 6, 1926 in Sharky, Miss., she was a member of Gateway Baptist Church and was retired from Donruss Co.
Mrs. Watson was a good Christian, good neighbor, mother and wife who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She loved to cook and do puzzle books. She was survived by her husband of 68 years, Harvey Paul Watson; her children, John Watson (Linda), Irma Barnes (Terry), Larry Watson (Carolyn) Dorris Jacquysh (Robert), Faye Johnston, Rita Trigg (Bill), Patricia Smith, and David Watson (Denise); and her legacy will live on through 21 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren who gave her memories full of laughter and love
Awaiting her in heaven are her parents, John Ray Woods and Maud Elizabeth (Sanders) Woods, her son Lewis Watson and three brothers, J.T. (John Thomas), C.W. (Charles Walter) and Elzie Ray Woods.
The family will receive friends at a catered reception on Thursday, Dec. 11, 5-8 p.m. and services will be Friday, Dec. 12 at 10 a. m. at Munford Funeral Home-Munford chapel. Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. at Yellow Leaf Cemetery, Oxford, Miss.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to Gateway Baptist Church, Atoka, Tenn. or Lebonheur Children's Hospital or the Alzheimer's Association.
Munford Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
