Lepanto man arrested twice in December
Thomas Lee Goldman, 52, of Lepanto was arrested on Dec. 29 by Lepanto police after allegedly breaking and entering. This is the second alleged crime committed by Goldman this month. He was arrested on Dec. 5 on charges for residential burglary and resisting arrest.
According to the police report, Sgt. Daniel Haynes was called to a resident on Dec. 7 after a house alarm went off. At the house, Haynes took pictures of footprints that were located on the side of the house and in the garage.
After investigation led to Goldman, Haynes went to the suspect's uncle's residence where he was granted permission to search Goldman's belongings inside. There he found shoes that matched the footprints left at the resident.
Haynes said that Goldman has served 18 years in federal prison. With his criminal record, his bond was set at $10,000. Goldman is set to appear in court on Jan. 27 before Poinsett County District Judge Ron Hunter.
