TRUMANN - Mr. Howard D. Taber, 82, of Trumann, passed away Jan.14, 2015 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House after a brave battle with cancer. Mr. Taber was born in Bay to the late Olan Frank and Effie May Wells Taber. Mr. Taber was of the Pentecostal faith and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include three sons Marty Taber and wife Jo of Avinger, Tex., Jackie Taber of Hutchinson, Kan., and Michael Taber and wife Melanie of Trumann; three daughters Linda Brooks and husband Bill of Trumann, Pauline Woodard of Trumann and Wanda Wilkerson and husband John of Frisco, Colo.; seventeen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
Mr. Taber was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Wanda May Taber; two sons Billy Jack Taber and Lonnie Don Taber; one daughter Kecha Ann Lambert; one brother Buddy Taber; one step-brother Lester Rushing; and one sister Juanita Davis.
Funeral services were Jan. 16 at the First Assembly of God, in Trumann, with Pastor Kenneth Doke officiating. Interment followed at Fairview Cemetery, Flippin, Ark. under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.
