BLYTHEVILLE -- Jeffery Allen Avery, 49, of Blytheville passed away at home Feb. 19, 2015. He was born in Blytheville to Jimmy and Pat Stubbs Avery. He had been employed with American Greetings for several years. He was a Christian and attended Grace Life Church in Blytheville.
Mr. Avery enjoyed life and sharing it with others. He liked BBQing and was a sports fan -- baseball (especially the Cardinals...when they were winning), basketball and football. He was an easy going person, "rolled with the flow", everything was alright, and always had a smile on his face. He loved his family and was a good father. He loved his church, good preaching, and good singing! He grew up listening to a band out of Mississippi call David and the Giants and still enjoyed listening to them.
He is survived by his daughters Sara Avery and Michele Avery, both of Blytheville; his parents Jimmy and Pat Avery of Blytheville; one brother Mark (Marsha) Avery of Star City, Ark.; three nephews; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; and his best friend, his dog Jasper, his constant companion.
Funeral services were Feb. 23 in the Carney Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Shane Spears officiating. Burial was in the Dogwood Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at www.carneyfuneralhome.com
