Harrisburg sixth-grade advances to Super Bowl

Harrisburg's sixth-grade pee wee football team downed Osceola to advance to the NEA YFL Super Bowl this Saturday at Warrior Field in Lepanto. The fifth-grade Harrisburg team came up short as they fell to Wynne 20-8 ending their season.

Khalil Todd scored the only touchdown for Harrisburg (7-1) in the fourth quarter. Austin Caldwell added the two-point conversion run.

The sixth-grade game started off furious and made one think it may come down to who has the ball last. Osceola scored three times as Luke Smith and Jace Heeb scored touchdowns for Harrisburg (7-1). Samuel Moore added two point conversion runs after each score to make the score 20-16 Seminoles after one.

Pender found the end zone two more times for Harrisburg in the second quarter as Moore rushed for a touchdown too. Heeb added two two-point conversion runs to make the score 36-20 Harrisburg at the half.

Pender scored for the third time in the third quarter and Osceola added a touchdown to make the score 42-26 after three quarters.

Heeb scored the only touchdown of the fourth quarter as Pender added the two-point conversion to make it 52-26, which ended up as the final score.

Harrisburg will take on Newport (7-1) for the championship trophy.
