Junior Indians come up short in season opener

Marked Tree (0-1) battled Manila all night in their opening round game of the Bay Invitational Tournament this past Monday night. The game was tied twice as the Junior Indians never led falling 40-34.

Manila drilled three straight three-pointers opening a 9-0 lead early before Marked Tree got a basket inside from Trey Brown and two free throws form Devine Owens making the score 9-4 Manila. Jack Brown canned a three-pointer in between two Junior Lions buckets to make the score 13-7 Manila. Brown hit two free throws before a steal and lay-up cut the Junior Lions lead to 13-11 at the end of one quarter of play.
