Lady Wildcats get first win of season

Trumann (1-1) got their first win of the basketball season this past Tuesday night as they downed Marked Tree (1-3) 43-21 at Wildcat Gym.

Makayla Marshall gave Marked Tree the early lead with a steal and lay up while being fouled. Her free throw was good to make it 3-0 Lady Indians. Trumann got an inside basket from Taelor Gartman and Olivia Greenwell hit a jumper in lane to give the Lady Wildcats a 4-3 lead. Lexi Jackson made it 7-3 Trumann with a three-pointer with less than a minute to play in the opening quarter and Gartman's jumper in the lane made it 9-3 as the first quarter came to an end.
