Both EPC girls team fell this past Friday in the semi-finals of the Gerald Jennings Invitational Tournament being held in Manila. Krystan Vornes scored 14 points as the Lady Warriors lost to Riverside 51-33. The Junior Lady Warriors lost to Nettleton 42-24. The Junior Lady Warriors made the semi-finals with a 25-21 win over Manila. Bre Ward had 15 points in the win.

Harrisburg (5-3) had four players score in double digit points as they beat Maynard 64-59 this past Friday night. Walker Hammond finished with 21 points and 10 rebounds as Dylan Mathis and Walker Brown each scored 12 points and Gavin Casebier netted 10 points.

Bay's Yellowjacekts (10-3) played three games in the Barry Pruitt Hurricane Classic in Jonesboro going 1-2. Bay fell to Valley View (5A) 64-52 in their opening game. The 'Jackets beat Clarksville (5A) 75-31 in their second game behind Taylor Layne's 18 points. Jonathan Crain finished with 14 points and Dustin Utley chipped in 12 points. Crain had a big night scoring 38 points against Forest City (5A) but it wasn't enough as they lost 79-71 in the fifth-place game. Layne added 21 points on the night for Bay.

The Lady Warriors got 20 points from Becca Bishop as EPC (8-2, 4-0 2A-3) beat BIC 63-52 this past Monday night. Krystan Vornes added 19 points and Bailey Constant finished with 10 points. Bre Ward scored 24 points as the Junior Lady Warriors (6-2, 3-1) won 38-27.

Marked Tree fell 69-33 to Marmaduke this past Monday night in girls' high school basketball action. Tullia Tull finished with 12 points for the Lady Indians. The Junior Lady Indians also lost 56-21.

Nick Andrews had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds as Marked Tree won their opening round game 63-38 over Riverside in the Gerald Jennings Invitational tournament being played in Piggott. Colby Malone tied for the game high in points with 15 for the Indians.

Harrisburg's boys fell to Manila 50-32 this past Tuesday night. Walker Hammond led the Hornets with 12 points. The Junior Hornets also lost 63-22.

The Trumann Lady Wildcats (3-4, 0-1 4A-3) lost 67-33 to Pocahontas this past Tuesday night at Wildcat Gym. Taelor Gartman led Trumann with 11 points. The Junior Lady Wildcats also lost their game 29-24 in overtime.

Marked Tree's Markel Perry scored 20 points to lead the Indians (3-2) to a 61-44 win over Marmaduke in boys high school basketball action this past Tuesday. Paul Coleman also reached double digits in points with 12. The Junior Indians posted a 52-25 in the junior high game.

The Lady Hornets had three players score in double figures as they beat Cave City 60-43 this past Tuesday night. Kylie DeVries led the way with 23 points followed by Emily Armstrong with 11 points and Jessica Webb finished with 10 points. The Junior Lady Hornets also won by a score of 28-24.
