Lady Hornets swarm Armorel in Kell opener

Harrisburg (9-3) raced out to a 21-2 lead after the first quarter over Armorel on their way to a 63-31 win in opening round action of the Kell Classic this past Monday in Swifton.

The Lady Hornets opened the game with a 13-0 as Emily Armstrong canned a a three-pointer to start thing off followed by a steal and lay up from Jessica Webb making it 5-0. Kylie DeVries drilled a three-pointer from the top of the key and Armstrong canned another three-ball pushing the lead to 11-0. DeVries ended the run with a jumper in the lane before Armorel hit a jumper in the lane to make it 13-2 with 2:17 left in the first. Keely Curtis drained a three-ball from the right wing and DeVries hit one of two free throws making it 17-2 Lady Hornets. Armstrong had a stick back basket before adding two free throws to make the score 21-2 Harrisburg when the quarter ended.
