Big second half carries Junior Indians to win

Marked Tree (10-3, 9-2 2A-3) outscored EPC (8-3, 8-2) in the third quarter breaking a half time tie on their way to a 37-31 win over the Junior Warriors this past Friday night in Lepanto.

The first quarter was a low scoring affair as the team combined for a total of five points. Trey Brown opened the scoring for Marked Tree hitting one of two free throws to make the score 1-0 Junior Indians. Rayshon Gates scored off the fast break for EPC before Jay Gilmore hit a jumper for the Junior Warriors to make it 4-1 EPC with 2:43 left. Neither team scored the remainder of the quarter.
