Markel Perry scored 16 points and grabbed 16 rebounds for Marked Tree (14-5, 9-3) but it wasn't enough as the Earle Bulldogs took a 58-52 win in 2A-3 conference basketball action last Tuesday (1/20) in Earle. D'Angelo Griffin added 16 points and LaQuentin Miles tossed in 14 points.

EPC's (13-8, 7-4 2A-3) late surge came up just short against BIC as the Mustangs held on for a 68-65 conference win over the Warriors. J'Sebian Brown led EPC with 23 followed by Xzavier Reed with 13 points. The Junior Warriors got the win over the Junior Mustangs 42-36.

Kelon Booker scored 24 points as Trumann beat Highland 78-77 in triple overtime this past Monday night in Highland. Murphy Taber and Connor Haag added 16 points each as Aaron Hamilton chipped in 13 points for the Wildcats. The Junior Wildcats needed an overtime period to beat the Junior Rebels 60-57.

Bay (26-3) got 32 points from Whitlee Layne as the Lady Yellowjackets beat EPC 73-47 this past Monday in Lepanto. Mallory Hartley added 16 points for Bay as Katie Ferguson scored 15 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Krystan Vornes scored 12 points for EPC. The Junior Lady Warriors won their game 19-16.

The Lady Wildcats dropped a 43-40 conference loss to Highland this past Monday night in girls' basketball action. Starlasia Simmons led Trumann with 14 points and Taelor Gartman tossed in 13 points. Trumann won the junior high game 36-17.

The Trumann Wildcats fell to Westside this past Tuesday night 58-38 in 4A-3 conference action. Jay Jones led Trumann with 12 points and Kevonte Andrews tossed in 10 points. Westside also won the junior high game 61-48.

LaQuentin Miles scored 17 points in leading Marked Tree to a 53-38 win over Riverside this past Tuesday night in Lake City. Markel Perry finished with a double-double scoring 12 points and pulling down 13 rebounds. D'Angelo Griffin added 10 points for the Indians. The Junior Indians lost their game 34-22.

The Trumann Lady Wildcats lost 51-21 to Westside in girls' basketball action this past Tuesday night in Trumann. Starlasia Simmons led Trumann with nine points. The Junior Lady Wildcats were also defeated by Westside 43-22.

Krystan Vornes scored 16 points and Becca Bishop added 12 points as the EPC Lady Warriors rallied in the fourth quarter to beat BIC 46-38 this past Tuesday in Monette. EPC also won the junior high game 29-25 in overtime as Kayla Reed scored 14 points for the Junior Lady Warriors.
