Hornets fall in conference clash with Westside

Harrisburg hung with Westside for a quarter and half before the visiting Warriors used a 9-0 run to go up by 12 on their way to a 72-61 win over the Hornets in conference basketball action this past Friday night at Harrisburg Gym.

Gavin Casebier gave Harrisburg their first lead of the game with a fast break basket four seconds into the game to make it 2-0. Westside answered with a three-pointer before Casebier scored down low making it 4-3 Hornets. The Warriors got a steal and lay up before adding two free throws to make the score 7-4 Westside. Walker Hammond hit one of two free throws followed by a three-pointer from Gatlin Greeno giving the Hornets their last lead of the night at 8-7 with 3:43 left in the opening quarter. The Warriors reeled off the next 11 points to go up 18-8 before Greeno hit two free throws and Walker Brown scored inside at the buzzer to make it 18-12 Westside at the end of one.
