The Lady Wildcats lost 2-1 to Valley View this past Friday in high school softball. Olivia Greenwell and Maddi Payne each had a hit for Trumann. Lexi Jackson took the loss for Trumann as she pitched a complete game striking out three. Trumann gained a win over BIC as part of a two-team doubleheader this past Friday. Sydney Callahan and Daly Taylor each had three hits as Hannah Craig got two hits. Callahan and Taylor had three RBIs each. Craig picked up the win for the Lady Wildcats pitching five innings and striking out seven batters.

Harrisburg (0-1) fell 10-3 to Valley View this past Monday in their softball season opener. Jessica Webb and Keely Edwards each has two hits for the Lady Hornets as Melanie Jackson and Jehlian Wright added one hit each. Jackson took the loss on the mound for Harrisburg.

The EPC Lady Warriors (1-1) fell to Rivercrest 8-4 in their season opener this past Monday in Lepanto. Madiosn Wiggins had two hits, one a home run and Bailey Constant also had two hits. EPC traveled to Wilson this past Tuesday for another game with the Lady Colts. The Lady Warriors got the 10-6 win as Constant and Kaylan Wilson each had four hits and Wiggins collected three hits. Sarah Tacker picked up the win for EPC.

Trumann (2-3, 2-0 4A-3) opened conference play with a doubleheader sweep of Cave City this past Monday in Trumann. The Wildcats built a big lead before holding on to win the opener 15-12. Cade Gartman led the way offensively for Trumann with two hits, one being a home run, three RBIS and three runs scored.. Lucas Moye had a hit, three RBIs and two runs scored as Alex Santos finished with two hits, two RBIs and two runs scored. Kevonte Andrews got the win for Trumann pitching four innings allowing five hits and striking out two batters. Garrett Woods got the save for the Wildcats. In the nightcap, Trumann downed the Cavemen 13-3 behind Woods' complete game effort. Woods allowed three runs on two hits while striking out eight in the win. Moye led Trumann at the plate with three hits, one a home run, three RBIs and four runs scored. Gartman had three hits and two runs scored, Dylan Qualls had two hits, two RBIs and two runs scored with Connor Haag getting an inside the park home run and three RBIs.

Harrisburg (2-2, 1-1 4A-3) split a conference doubleheader, with Pocahontas this past Monday in Harrisburg. In game one the Hornets fell 9-2 as Dylan Mathis, Lance McGuiness and Brady Castle each collected a hit each for Harrisburg. Noah Beintende struck out seven in taking the loss. In game two, Zach Biggers got the win while giving up only two hits. Jaxson Hawkins got the save despite giving up five runs on two hits over the final two and two thirds innings. Beintende had three hits and two RBIs at the plate while Castle had two hits and two runs scored and Hawkins added an RBI.

Marked Tree (1-1, 1-0 2A-3) beat Marmaduke 18-3 in high school baseball action this past Tuesday in Marmaduke. Bailey Lucas led the way for Marked Tree with three hits and four RBIs. Chaz Simmons got the win for the Indians going all five innings while giving up three runs of five hits. He walked three and struck out three.
