Lady Warriors get conference win over Marked Tree

EPC (4-1, 3-0 2A-3) used a nine run seventh inning to break open a close game as they posted a 20-11 win over conference rival Marked Tree this past Monday in high school softball.

EPC got on the board in the top of the first inning as Bailey Constant walked and Kaylan Wilson reached on a bunt single. The duo pulled off a double steal before Sarah Tackers' infield single scored Constant to make it 1-0 Lady Warriors. Christian Hinson was hit by a pitch to load the bases with two out but EPC couldn't capitalize further as Jaleigha Garrett struck out for out three. Marked Tree plated three runs in their half of the first as Ally Byers singled to lead off. Brittany Pharis laid down a nice sacrifice bunt to get Byers to second as Harley Daniels was hit by a pitch. Madison Carroll singled to bring home Byers and Bailey Dunn reached on an error that plated Carroll to make it 3-1 Marked Tree. Taylor Hannah grounded out to end the first inning.
