The Harrisburg Lady Hornets (16-13) had their season come to end as they lost 3-0 to Heber Springs in the opening round of the 4A-East Regional tournament last Thursday in Lonoke.
Caitlyn Adams took the loss for Harrisburg as she gave up three runs on eight hits over six innings. She walked one, struck out four and hit a batter. Jessica Webb and Keely Edwards each had two hits for the Lady Hornets as Adams, Sidney McMullin and Allie Lawson each had a hit. Ansley Wixson had a stolen base. The Lady Hornets left 12 runners on base in the game.
Bay fell 13-7 to Izard County Consolidated last Thursday in the opening round of the 1A-2 Regional tournament held at Viola. The loss ended the Lady Yellowjackets season with a record of 7-6.
Baylee Bowers led Bay at the plate with three hits, three runs, a RBI and a stolen base. Ainsley Bowers finished with two hits, two runs and a stolen base, Kaitlyn Dixon and Shelby Corn each had two hits, a RBI and a stolen base, Jessie Martin had a hit and a RBI, Mallory Hartley and AnnMarie Wood each had a hit and a run as Adela Herrera added a RBI. Baylee Bowers took the loss for the Lady Yellowjackets as she pitched six innings giving up 13 runs on 16 hits with four walks and four strikeouts.
The EPC Warriors (14-10) lost a 4-3 heart breaker to Pangburn last Thursday in the opening round of the 2A North Regional baseball tournament in Marked Tree. Hayden Allen took the loss for the Warriors as he pitched all seven innings giving up four runs on seven hits with one walk, nine strikeouts and one hit batter. Kyler Gordon finished with two hits and two runs to lead EPC at the plate as Trevor Walker added two hits. Peyton Phillips had a hit and a RBI, Brandon Smith had a hit and Austin Smith scored a run.
