Thursday, May 12, 2016

Marked Tree stayed close to Midland for the first two innings but a five run third inning from the Lady Mustangs was to much to overcome as the Lady Indians lost 13-2 in the 2A North Regional tournament last Thursday in Marked Tree.

Midland used two base hits and a stolen base to produce a run in the top of the first inning to go up 1-0. Ally Byers walked before going to second base on a passed ball. Tiana Morris popped out and Harley Daniels drew a walk. Madison Carroll flew out as Bailey Dunn singled to score Byers making the score 1-1. Brittany Pharis grounded out to end the inning. The Lady Mustangs got a two-out single only to leave the runner stranded as Daniels struck out the next batter. Cam Willoughby and Dajana Thomas both struck out in the bottom of innings before Angel Barnes reached on an infield hit. Barnes was left stranded when Byers grounded out to end the second inning with the score 1-1.
