Bay (12-10) had their come to an end this past Friday in the Class 1A state baseball tournament this past Friday in Mountain Home. The Yellowjackets fell 6-2 to Taylor a day after scoring five runs in the top of the seventh to beat Sacred Heart in their opening round game last Thursday.

Against Sacred Heart Taylor Layne was dominant on the mound as he only allowed one hit over seven hits while striking out nine batters and walking one. Nolan Smith and Quentin Francomano each had a hit and a RBI to lead the Yellowjackets at the plate. Kyle McAdams had a run scored and a RBI, Layne Austin had a hit as Ryan Austin, Austin Jackson and Jimmy DuVall each scored a run.

In the quarter-final round against Taylor, Ryan Austin finished with two hits and a RBI to lead Bay. Crain added two hits, Layne had a hit and a RBI, Layne Austin had a it as Smith and Matthew Barnett each scored a run. Smith took the loss for Bay as he pitched six innings giving up six runs on seven hits. He walked five, struck out three and hit one batter.
