TRUMANN - Mrs. Lois Lenella (Bonds) "Aunt Sal" Walton, 95, of Trumann, departed this life on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro at the age of 95 years. Mrs. Walton was born Friday, March 25, 1921 in Iuka, Miss., and had lived most of her lifetime in the Trumann area. She was a housewife and a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Walton was preceded in death by her husband, John Dean Walton; and one son, Donald Dean Walton; two sisters, Ida Yow and Grace Deason; four brothers, Homer Bonds, Boots Bonds, Hershel (Big Boy) Bonds, and Donnie Bonds and her parents, Ezra Donahue and Lenna Dexter Bonds.

She is survived by one daughter, Sherry Bishop of Trumann; four grandchildren, Don D. Walton, Renee Wells, Robin Bishop and Tammy Terry; and eight great-grandchildren, Trey, Brittany and Madison Terry, Nathan and Cory Wilhite and Jackson, Jenny and Julie Walton.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 3 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Dale Walton and Bro. Michael Jernigan officiating. Burial followed in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark.

Pallbearers were Don D. Walton, Jackson Walton, Robin Bishop, Cory Wilhite, Nathan Wilhite, and Trey Terry. Honorary pallbearers were Tripp Wells, Larry Bonds, Sonny Bonds, Bobby Walton, Harold Box, and Jimmy Lyles.
