Hunter Montgomery captured medalist honors with a 36 for Trumann as the Wildcats shot a team total of 128 to tie with Pocahontas for top honors in a four-team meet this past Monday at Trumann Country Club. Trumann also had Fowler Montgomery with a 40 and Jarrett May with a 52. Bryce Deckelman shot a 38 to lead Harrisburg with Zach Biggers carding a 40 and Walker Brown adding a 56. Harrisburg's Kylie DeVries was medalist on the girls side with 47 as Cassie Armstrong shot a 57 and Ansley Wixson finished with a 61 to help the girls win with a score of 165. Trumann's Adrianna Patterson shot a 58 for the Lady Wildcats. Jackson Darr shot a 53 in junior varsity play.

Harrisburg downed Cave City 25-13, 25-17 and 25-23 in high school volleyball action this past Monday in Harrisburg. Emily Newcomb led the Lady Hornets with 27 assists to go along with 21 of 23 serving. Caitlyn Adams had 13 digs, Lacey Lambright added 10 digs, Kayna Gardner finished with 14 digs as Olivia Deckelman had 13 kills and three blocks.

The Lady Wildcats dropped two matches in the last week. Last Thursday Trumann traveled to Brookland and dropped a three set match, 25-8, 25-12 and 25-6 to the Lady Bearcats. The Junior Lady Wildcats also lost 25-22 and 25-11. This past Monday the Lady Wildcats hosted Pocahontas and fell in four games, 25-16, 25-10, 17-25 and 25-17. The Junior Lady Wildcats won their match in two sets, 25-23 and 25-12. No stats were made available to the Democrat Tribune.

The EPC Warriors (1-1) traveled to Walnut Ridge this past Friday night and were handed a 36-6 loss by the Bobcats. EPC got a 19 yard touchdown run to take a 6-0 lead in the first quarter before Walnut Ridge went up 8-6 at the half. The Bobcats added a score in the third quarter and three scores in the fourth to take the win.

Trumann (2-0) got 162 yards and a touchdown from Cade Gartman as the Wildcats downed Manila 35-19 this past Friday night at Wildcat Field. Jay Morgan added 95 yards and a touchdown for Trumann. Garrett Woods and Will Ryan White also had rushing touchdowns. Kaleb Keizer added a touchdown catch for the Wildcats. White was five for five on extra-points for Trumann.

The Harrisburg Junior Hornets moved to 2-0 on the season with a 20-12 win over Cedar Ridge this past Thursday at Hornet Stadium. No stats were made available to the Democrat Tribune.

Trumann's Junior Wildcats (2-0) traveled to Manila and came away with a 30-20 win over the Junior Lions to even their record at 1-1. No stats were made available to the Democrat Tribune.
