NE Arkansas fishing report

Reports from Lake Poinsett have the bass fishing doing well on yellow buzzbaits. Crapping are hitting okay on minnows with catfish hitting in the mornings and evenings on goldfish and rice slicks. Bream have been doing well on worms.

Crown Lake is reporting clear clarity with the water level normal. Bream fishing has been good on crickets and the bass fishing has been poor with the few catches coming on spinnerbaits, crankbaits and topwater lures. Chicken livers have been the food of choice with the catfish. No reports were given for the crappie fishing.

The water levels have been running at 320 cfs and water clarity has been clear. The river is low and the trout have been biting. Y2Ks and nymps are working great with sight fishing being really good the last few weeks. Hot pink trout and white Trout Magnets are working great while blue and yellow spinners have been best for the spin fishers. The river is in tiptop shape.

White River near Newark has reports from the Batesville Bridge saying the water was clear and at normal level. No reports sent in on the bream, crappie or catfish. Bass are biting fair on spinnerbaits and topwater lures as well as any type of soft plastic worm. Walleye are hitting fair on jigheads and minnows.
