Paragould got the ball first and used a mixture of running and passing plays to drive the fall down field before scoring on a touchdown run to make it 6-0. The successful extra-point made it 7-0. Garrett Woods and Cade Gartman couldn't connect on the sweep pitch as the ball hit the ground where the Rams picked it up and returned it to Wildcats' seven-yard line. The Paragould offense made quick work as they scored on the next play with a run up the middle to make it 13-0. The extra-point was again good making it 14-0 Rams. The score remained the same as the first quarter came to a close.
