Rector got the ball first as Hunter McNeely returned the kick-off to Cougars 40-yard line for their first possession. The Cougars went three out and punted the ball away with EPC starting from their own 27-yard line. The Warriors wasted little time as Chanc Gray hit Michael Jobe behind the Cougars' secondary for a 73 yard touchdown pass with 10:05 left. The two-point try was no good making the score 6-0 EPC. Rector started their next series on their own 34-yard before a bad exchange a couple plays later put the ball on the ground with Peyton Phillips recovering for the Warriors at the Rector 36-yard line with 9:08 left. The Warriors took advantage of the turnover as Eric Driver sprinted 27 yards for the EPC touchdown to make it 12-0. Gray ran in the two-point conversion making it 14-0 with 8:21 left. Andrew Carter returned the ensuing kick-off to the Rector 30-yard line to start the Cougars next possession. Rector moved the ball out the mid-field before an incomplete pass on fourth and two turned the ball over to EPC with 4:18 left. The Warriors again wasted little time as Trevor Walker galloped 50 yards on the first play to give EPC a 20-0 lead. Gray again ran in the two-point conversion to make it 22-0 Warriors with 4:02 left. Carter returned the kick-off out to the Rector 34-yard line where a personal foul on EPC added fifteen yards to the end of the return. The Cougars moved the ball into EPC territory before Gray made a big stop on fourth and four that forced Rector to turn the ball over on downs at the Warriors' 44-yard line. Walker again hit pay dirt on the first play as he went 56 yards for the touchdown to push EPC's lead to 28-0. Gray found Rochad Washington on a slant play for the two-point conversion to give the Warriors a 30-0 lead with 22 seconds left in the opening quarter. Carter returned the kick-off for Rector out to their own 34-yard line as the quarter ended during Rector's drive.

The Cougars started the second quarter facing second and one on their own 43-yard line only to see Chanc Gray intercept an errant McNeely pass on the first play before being tackled at the Rector 44-yard line with 11:32 left. The Warriors drove down for another score with Jay Gilmore rushing 18 yards for the EPC touchdown with 8:34 left. Gray hit Jobe on the two-point pass play to make the score 38-0 Warriors. Rector's Carter couldn't find a handle on the kick-off and was tackled by Andrew Cavitt on the Cougars' 20-yard line. Rector moved the ball into EPC territory before coming up short on fourth and two turning the ball over on the Warriors' 35-yard line with 2:35 left. The Warriors' returned the favor as Gilmore had a nice run into Rector territory as he tried to get a few more yards and coughed the ball up with Tommy Stokes returning the ball to mid-field with 24 seconds left.
