Bay (4-4) lost 61-52 to Riverside this past Friday in Lake City in boys' high school basketball action. Taylor Layne led the Yellowjackets with 19 points as Dustin Utley chipped in 13 points. Bay (8-2) won the junior high game as Braison Morris scored 11 points.

The Harrisburg Lady Hornets went 0-3 in the McDonald's Shootout held in Paragould. Harrisburg lost 73-34 to Nettleton in the opening round this past Thursday as Kiley DeVries scored 14 points to lead the Lady Hornets. Harrisburg lost 55-46 to Brookland this past Friday as Keely Curtis led the team with 13 points as Jessica Webb and Emily Armstrong added 11 and 10 points respectively. Cassie Armstrong scored 13 points as the Lady Hornets fell 51-39 to Valley View.

Harrisburg (4-0) got 25 points from Gatlin Greeno and 12 points each from Gavin Casebier and Zach Biggers to down Highland 59-52 this past Thursday in the Highland Classic.

The Bay Lady Yellowjackets fell 50-45 to Jonesboro in a benefit basketball game this past Thursday in Jonesboro. Whitlee Layne scored 20 points to lead Bay as Mallory Hartley finished with 13 points. Sydney Higgins pulled down 11 rebounds for the Lady 'Jackets.

Kurstin Bryan and Bre Ward each scored ten points but it wasn't enough as the Riverside Lady Rebels took a 49-33 win over the Lady Warriors this past Thursday night in Lepanto. Riverside also won the junior high game 55-20.

Marked Tree fell to Rivercrest 45-43 in senior high girls basketball action this past Thursday in Wilson. Tullia Tull had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds to lead Marked Tree. CJ Barnes added 14 points for the Lady Indians.
