Marked Tree fell 72-63 this past Tuesday to the Earle Bulldogs in overtime. Colby Malone had 18 points to lead the Indians as Nick Andrews tossed in 16 points and 11 rebounds as Tray Brown tossed in 11 points. Markel Perry-Washington had 11 rebounds for Marked Tree.
Harrisburg (6-1) lost their first game of the year as they fell to Gosnell 86-85 this past Tuesday in Gosnell. Dylan Mathis led the Hornets in scoring with 22 points as Biggers added 18 points. Tommy Maloney finished with 16 points as Gatlin Greeno scored 10 points. Gavin Casebier pulled down 10 rebounds. Gosnell won the junior high game 63-42.
The Lady Warriors of EPC traveled to Marmaduke this past Monday and were handed a 71-41 loss by the Lady Greyhounds. Jaleigha Garrett scored 12 points to lead EPC in scoring. Marmaduke won the junior high game 35-8.
The Marked Tree Lady Indians let a halftime lead slip away in the second half as they lost to Earle 54-51 this past Monday in Earle. Tullia Tull led Marked Tree with 16 points and 10 rebounds as Jayla Carter finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Taylor Hannah tossed in 10 points for the Lady Indians. Earle won the junior high game 42-27.
Harrisburg's Lady Hornets got 16 points each from Kylie DeVries and Emily Armstrong as they downed Gosnell 64-46 this past Monday. Cassie Armstrong added 13 points as Jessica Webb netted 10 points and grabbed 19 rebounds. Gosnell won the junior high game 50-29.
The Bay Lady Yellojackets won their opening round game in the Williams Baptist College Tournament by beating Hillcrest 69-35. Sarah Blackman led Bay in scoring with 23 points at Whitlee Layne added 19 points.
