Junior Warriors get road win over Marked Tree

EPC jumped out to an early lead and increased that lead every quarter on their way to a 48-27 win over Marked Tree this past Tuesday night in Marked Tree.

Preston Rains put the first points on the board for EPC with a baseline jumper as Trevon Wofford of Marked Tree answered with two free throws to make it 2-2. Austin Baker canned a three-pointer for the Junior Warriors and was followed by a fast break lay-up from Rains to make it 7-2 EPC. Marcus Winston put back an offensive rebound for the Junior Indians before Gavin Constant hit one of two free throws for EPC with Jamario Crawford getting a stick back for the Junior Warriors to make it 10-4 EPC with 1:26 left. BJ Marshall scored inside for Marked Tree, Crawford and Rains hit back to back jumpers for the Junior Warriors as Marshall added one of two free throws for the Junior Indians to make the score 14-7 EPC at the end of one.

Eli McCrary canned a three-pointer for Marked Tree to open the second quarter only to see Rains score off the break for EPC with Candon Argo drilling a three-pointer for the Junior Warriors to make it 19-10 EPC with 3:04 left. Michael Williams hit one of two free throws for the Junior Indians, Crawford scored inside for the Junior Warriors as McCrary hit one of two free throws for Marked Tree to make it 21-12 EPC. Rains scored the last two baskets of the quarter for EPC to give the Junior Warriors a 25-12 lead at the half.
