Second half spells doom for Junior Wildcats

Trumann led 14-10 at the break but the Junior Wildcat were outscored 32-10 in the second half as Brookland took a 44-24 win this past Friday night in Brookland.

Brookland got the board first with a basket inside as Trumann got an inside basket from Dedrick Coleman, one of two free throws from Cam Blagg and a stick back basket from Chris Webb to give the Junior Wildcats a 5-2 lead with 1:17 left. The Junior Bearcats canned a three-pointer right before the buzzer to make the score 5-5 at the end of one.

The Junior Bearcats hit one of two free throws to open the second quarter only to see the Junior Wildcats get two free throws and a an old-school three-point play from Blagg and a coast to coast lay-up from Coleman to make it 12-6 Trumann with 2:35 left. Brookland scored inside, Blagg scored from the paint as the Junior Bearcats hit a jumper in the lane to make the score 14-10 Trumann at the half.
