Big second half send Junior 'Jackets to victory

Bay outscored Marked Tree 29-3 in the second half to post a 44-10 win over Marked Tree this past Friday in Marked Tree.

Colby Belcher scored the first points of the game as the put back an offensive rebound before BJ Marshall converted an old-school three-pointer for Marked Tree to make it 3-2 Junior Indians with 3:22 left. Tyler Hartgen hit two free throws for the Junior Yellowjackets as Ian Kiech got a fast break lay-up for for Bay to make it 6-3 Junior 'Jackets after one.

Travon Wofford scored off the fast break for Marked Tree for the first points of the second quarter before Braison Morris canned a three-pointer for Bay to make it 9-5 Bay. Aayden Johnson hit one of two free throws for Marked Tree only to see Bay get a stick back from Belcher and one of two free throws from Paiton Hartley making it 12-7 Junior Yellowjackets with 1:27 left. Morris canned a three-pointer for Bay as Eli McCrary hit one of two free throws for Marked Tree to make the score 15-7 Bay at the half.
