Junior Yellowjackets get win over EPC

Bay used a balanced scoring attack to get a 42-21 win over EPC in boys' junior high basketball action this past Monday in Bay.

Aaron Jolly got Bay on the board first with a jumper as Tyler Hartgen and Ian Kiech followed with baskets to make it 6-0 Junior Yellowjackets. Deuce Moore put back an offensive rebound for EPC's first points making the score 6-2. Jolly hit jumper in the lane for Bay as Preston Rains scored inside for the Junior Warriors to make it 8-4 at the end of one.

Rains got inside for another EPC score to start the second quarter before Kevin Ostermiller got inside for Bay to make it 10-6 Junior Yellowjackets. Jamario Crawford scored in the paint for EPC, Hartgen hit one of two free throws for Bay, Gavin Constant hit one of two free throws for the Junior Warriors as Hartgen hit two free throws for the Junior Yellojackets to make it 13-9 Bay with 3:54 left. Jolly scored off the break for Bay, Rains hit one of two free throws for EPC as Kiech drilled a three-pointer for the Junior Yellowjackets to make the score 18-10 Bay. Luis Lopez scored a pair of inside baskets for EPC around a Paiton Hartley three-pointer for the Junior Yellowjackets to make 21-14 Bay. Kiech hit a jumper in the lane before Rains got a stick back for EPC to make the score 23-16 Junior Yellowjackets at the half.
