Wildcats take win over Harrisburg

Trumann (5-16) had four players score in double digits as the Wildcats downed Harrisburg 62-47 this past Friday in conference action at Wildcat Gym.

Zach Biggers got Harrisburg (8-16) on the board first with a three-pointer as Trumann got back to back three-pointers from Kelon Booker and Cody Roland to make it 6-3 Wildcats. Tommy Maloney canned a three-pointer for the Hornets to tie the game at 6 only to see Roland drill another three-ball for Trumann making it 9-6 Wildcats. Issac Haynie hit one of two free throws for Trumann, Alex Moses stuck back an offensive rebound for the Wildcats as Ben Turner drilled a trey for the Wildcats to make the score 15-6 Trumann with 1:42 left. Gatlin Greeno converted an old-school three-point play for the Hornets to make the score 15-9 at the end of one.

Moses got a stick back for Trumann early in the second quarter as Biggers hit a three-ball for Harrisburg and Roland followed with a three-pointer for the Wildcats to make the score 20-12 Trumann. The Hornets got two free throws from Greeno and a three-ball from Biggers to make it 20-17 only to see Trumann get a three-ball from Aaron Hamilton and an inside basket from Moses to make the score 25-17 Wildcats. Walker Brown scored inside for Harrisburg, Booker put back an offensive rebound for Trumann as Greeno hit one of two free throws for the Hornets to make it 27-20 Trumann with 2:01 left. Hamilton hit two free throws for Trumann, Dylan Mathis hit one of two free throws for the Hornets before Moses hit one of two free throws for the Wildcats to make the score 30-21 Trumann at the half.
