The Harrisburg Lady Hornets (1-1-1) topped Riverside 19-6 in high school softball action this past Tuesday in Lake City. Ansley Wixson led Harrisburg with five hits and three RBIs. Keely Curtis had four hits and two RBIs, Jessica Webb had three hits and three RBIS, Melanie Jackson had two hits and a RBI, Starr Carter had two hits, Jehlian Wright had two RBIs as Sidney McMullin and Caitlyn Adams each had a RBI.

EPC's Lady Warriors (1-1) edged Walnut Ridge 7-6 in eight innings in softball action this past Thursday in Lepanto. Bailey Constant had three hits for EPC with Meagan Allen collecting four hits. Sarah Tacker added two hits for the Lady Warriors. Allen struck out 20 batters as she pitched all eight innings for EPC.

Harrisburg (1-0) opened their baseball season with an 8-5 win over Pocahontas this past Thursday in Pocahontas. Zach Biggers collected two hits for the Hornets as he added two RBIs. Jordan Hindman added two hits as Clay Wright had two hits and a RBI. Jaxson Hawkins got the win for Harrisburg pitching four innings giving up four runs on six hits with two walks and three strikeouts. Jett Jackson pitched the final three innings to get the save allowing one run on three three hits. Jackson walked one and struck out three.

The Trumann Wildcats (8-22) trailed by only two points heading into the final quarter and Robinson but couldn't come up with the win as they feel 66-56 in the opening round of the Class 4A state basketball tournament played at Nashville.
