CARTERSVILLE, GA. - Mr. Randy Isbell departed this life Monday, March 6, 2017 in Cartersville, Ga. at the age of 60. Mr. Isbell was born July 5, 1956 in Turrell, Ark. Mr. Isbell was a retired factory worker, Cass High School Booster Club President, competed in the Jack Daniels Invitational World Cook-Off in 2015 and was the creator of Steel Kookin BBQ Sauce and Catering. He also won nunerous awards for the BBQ sauce and pulled pork. He was a member of the U.S. Army National Guard.
Mr. Isbell is survived by his wife, Ann Sparks Isbell; one daughter, Amy (Caleb) Davis of Lucedale, Miss.; two step-sons, Mickey Ray and Johnny Ray both of Cartersville, Ga.; his mother, Dorothy Isbell Robinson of Jonesboro, Ark.; two sisters, Charlette (Michael) Drennan of Little Rock, Ark. and Sandra (LaFonce) Latham of Burdette, Ark.; one step-sister, Valinda (Allen) Armstrong of Trumann, Ark.; four brothers, Gary (Wilma) Isbell of Jonesboro, Gil (Penny) Isbell of Dallas, Ga., Jimbo (Vicki) Isbell of Burdette, Ark. and Chris (Jennifer) Isbell of Nashville, Tenn.; one step-brother, Tony (Jane) Robinson of Jonesboro, Ark; two grandchildren, Jaye Thomas Ladnier and Bishop Lane Ladnier both of Lucedale, Miss.; seven step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Jessie "Bot" Isbell. Funeral services were held March 10 at Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza with Bro. C.L. Robinson officiating. Burial followed at Potter Cemetery in Lepanto, Ark. under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home.
