TRUMANN - Mr. Edward Lee "Ed" Richardson of Trumann departed this life on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, Ark. at the age of 77. He was born Friday, December 29, 1939 in Landis, Ark., and had lived in Trumann since 1970. He was a retired elementary principal for the Trumann School District and a member of the First Baptist Church in Trumann. He was preceded in death by one brother, one sister, and his parents, Ezra Coy and Delphia Massey Richardson.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lenora Cook Richardson of the home; four sons, Kenneth Richardson of Harrisburg, Dewain Richardson of Trumann, Michael Richardson of Houston, Tex. and Anthony (Tony) Richardson of Trumann; one brother, Robert Richardson of Booneville, Ark.; four sisters, Loretta Horton of Marshall, Ark., Ida Mae Hale of Mountain View, Ark., Racine Flores of Wichita, Kan., and Louise Yates of Dallas, Tex.; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held March 11 at First Baptist Church in Trumann with Rev. John Maley officiating. Burial followed in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were his nephews and Jacob Richardson. Honorary pallbearers are the deacons of First Baptist Church and the Mens Sunday School Class.
