Walnut Ridge scored a run in the top of eight innings as EPC couldn’t answer in the bottom half giving the Bobcats a 7-6 win last Wednesday in Lepanto.

Walnut Ridge threatened to score in the top of the first having runners on first and third with two outs before a popped out ended the threat. Kern Kline walked leading off for EPC as Chanc Gray moved Kline to second with a sacrifice bunt. Hayden Malone grounded out and Hunter Taylor popped out leaving Kline on second. The Bobcats got runners on first and second with one out in the second inning but a line out to Trey Howard who threw to Taylor gave the Warriors a double play. EPC went three up and three down as Howard struck out, Peyton Phillips flew out and Tysean Garrett grounded out as the game stayed scoreless.
