Howl for Humanity project kicks off Saturday

Thursday, September 14, 2017

The 4th Annual Families, Inc. SCORE A TD…Howl for Humanity project will kick off this Saturday when the A-State Red Wolves take on UAPB. Each year, Families, Inc. selects non-profits to benefit from each home game touchdown. This year the selected non-profit organizations are: Breaking Bonds Ministry, Rivers of Recovery, The Children’s Shelter, John 3:17 Ministry, Northeast Arkansas Humane Society and our own Trumann Food Pantry. The game benefiting the Trumann Food Pantry will be October 19 against Louisiana-Lafayette.

For each touchdown, the organization receives $250. They will receive a minimum of $500 and there is no cap on the number of touchdown dollars. In the last three seasons, Families, Inc. has given over $24,000 to 18 non-profits.

“A goal of Families, Inc. is to partner with the Arkansas State Red Wolves, while at the same time benefiting local non-profits by providing financial support and by creating additional awareness of that particular organization,” said Dawn Layer, Director of Marketing at Families, Inc. Counseling Services.
