Harrisburg's Lady Hornets (9-5) lost a 4-1 decision, 20-25, 21-25, 25-20, 14-25, to Ridgefield Christian this past Tuesday. Olivia Deckelman had 12 kills for Harrisburg as Jehlian Wright and Madison Peden finished with nine and eight kills respectively. Emily Newcomb had 25 assists to go along with 15-16 serving and four aces as Shaw Faulkner was 15-16 serving with 13 digs.

The Trumann Lady Wildcats (2-16) volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision, 18-25, 9-25, 17-25, to Crowley's Ridge Academy this past Tuesday at Wildcat Gym. Hannah Craig led Trumann with 12 digs, three kills and 9-9 serving with an ace. Jenny Walton added 13 digs and three kills, Hannah McClaughlin had seven digs and three assists to go along with 10-10 serving and an ace. Sydney Callahan tallied three kills as Haley Mathis had two blocks.

Harrisburg (3-1, 1-0) celebrated homecoming night with a 47-14 win over Cave City behind the six touchdown passes from Clay Wright. Wright completed 11 of 15 passes for 363 yards while throwing an interception. Tayshaun Warren led the Hornets in rushing with 57 yards on four carries and a touchdown. Gavin Casebier caught five passes for 204 yards and three touchdowns as Weston Stanford had three catches for 101 yards and two touchdowns. Mathis added a 48-yard touchdown catch, two-point conversion and three extra-point kicks. Dakota Bass led the Harrisburg defense with 10 tackles and a sack as Warren and Parker Jones each added seven tackles. Casebier, Stanford and Jameson King all had an interception as Enellio McGinnis had a fumble recovery.

Trumann (4-0, 1-0) won their conference opener this past Friday night with 49-25 victory over Pocahontas at Wildcat Stadium. Cade Gartman led the way with 15 carries for 128 yards, three touchdowns and two-point conversion run. Will White had a touchdown run and five extra-point kicks, Noah Milligan had a touchdown run, Koltan Jones had a touchdown run and a touchdown pass as Alex Moses had a touchdown catch for the Wildcats.

The Harrisburg Lady Hornets (8-4) swept Piggott 25-16, 25-23, 25-19 last Thursday in high school volleyball. Jehlian Wright led the Lady Hornets with 13-13 serving and an ace, 12 digs and seven kills as Emily Newcomb was 18-21 serving with four aces and 27 assists. Olivia Deckelman finished 11-12 serving with an ace, Destany Lovell had six kills as Madison Peden totaled four kills and two blocks.

Trumann's Lady Wildcats (2-14, 1-6) team lost a three set match to Westside last Thursday, 3-25, 5-25, 7-25 in volleyball action. Misty Moye led Trumann with 13 digs as Olivia Greenwell was three for three serving with an ace to go with two assists. Jenny Walton was 3-4 serving with an ace and a kill, Hannah McClaughlin had a kill and four digs, Maci Williams added four digs as Mycha Wilson had a kill.

The EPC Junior Warriors had an open date last Thursday.

Harrisburg's Junior Hornets were on the road to Cave City where the host team handed their visitors a 24-8 loss. Drew Wright completed six of nine passes for 69 yards and a touchdown while adding a two-point conversion. James Pender had 51 yards rushing, Skylar Duncan had 41 yards receiving and Keaton Speer had a touchdown catch.

The Marked Tree Junior Indians (0-3) lost 34-20 on the road to Midland last Thursday in junior high football action. LaRay Brown led the Junior Indians with 74 yards on nine carries and two touchdowns. Aayden Johnson finished with eight carries for 48 yards, Aiden McGuire had 13 carries for 35 yards and Caleb Edwards added two-point conversion run. Kenny Young and Orlando Harper each had four tackles to lead the defense as Aayden Johnson had a fumble recovery.
