Junior Wildcats lose conference game to Westside

Trumann (3-2, 0-2) was outscored 22-8 in the second half as the Junior Warriors beat the Junior Wildcats 38-24 in junior high football action last Thursday at Wildcat Stadium.

The Junior Wildcats took the early lead after taking the opening kick-off and marching 53 yards to score on a Gaven Guy nine yard run with 2:51 left in the opening quarter. Connor McClain added the two-point conversion run to make it 8-0 Trumann. Westside moved the ball into Trumann territory thanks in part two penalties on the Junior Wildcats that gave the Junior Warriors first downs. The quarter ended during the Westside drive with Trumann up 8-0.
