Harrisburg was outscored 24-11 in the second half by Pocahontas as the Lady Hornets lost to the Lady Redskins 40-27 this past Monday in Pocahontas. Ansley Wixson led Harrisburg with 11 points on the night.

EPC (8-4) had their football season ended with a 58-14 loss to Harmony Grove in the second round of the Class 2A state playoffs this past Friday in Camden. Eric Drive led the Warriors with 112 yards on 21 carries and one catch for seven yards and a touchdown. Preston Rains completed seven of sixteen passes for 87 yards and two touchdowns with Gavin Constant catching two passes for 42 yards and a touchdown. James Lard led the defense with eight tackles as Heath Cavitt had four tackles and a fumble recovery.

Jayla Carter scored 18 points for Marked Tree but it wasn't enough as the Rivercrest Lady Colts beat the Lady Indians 49-36 this past Friday in Wilson. Marked Tree won the junior high game 34-28.

Bay held their own against Jonesboro in a high school benefit basketball game this past Thursday night in Bay. The Lady Yellowjackets lead 20-12 after one and were down 36-30 at the half and 46-44 after three before falling 61-55. Abby Frisby and Mallory Hartley each scored 20 points for Bay as Kaylee Crain pulled down 10 rebounds for the Lady 'Jackets.
