Junior Lady Wildcats cruise to win over EPC

Trumann raced out to a 16-0 lead after the first quarter and never looked back as they went on to post a 39-13 win over the Lady Warriors this past Monday night at Wildcat Gym.

Hannah McClaughlin and Emma Turner hit back to back three-pointers to give Trumann a 6-0 lead before Kayde Jones, Caroline Morgan and Haley Mathis all scored basket in the paint to push the Junior Lady Wildcats lead to 12-0 with 3:20 left. Jones hit a baseline jumper as Morgan and Jones both hit one of two free throws to make the score 16-0 Trumann at the end of one.

Jones got a steal and lay-up for Trumann before Kaylee Hood hit a jumper for EPC to make the score 18-2 Junior Lady Wildcats with 3:28 left. Jones got another steal and lay-up and Turner hit one of two free throws for Trumann as Emili Mangrum scored inside for the Junior Lady Warriors to make it 21-4 Trumann. CeCe Reel hit one of three free throws for EPC only to see McClaughlin scored off the fast break and Turner get a steal and lay-up for the Junior Lady Wildcats to make the score 25-5 Trumann at the half.
