Tyronza events set for next week

Friday, November 24, 2017

The city of Tyronza has a couple of events early next week.

First up is a Christmas Tree Lighting/Christmas Caroling, set for 6 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 27, on the west cul-de-sac on the service road. There will be free hot chocolate and popcorn. The EPC Choir will be leading in the Christmas Caroling.

Also, on Tuesday, Nov. 28, there will be a fundraiser for one of the city's firefighters. He and his wife had a baby that was born premature and had to stay in the hospital for some time. The Tyronza Fire Department will be having a Taco Soup/Taco Bar Dinner to raise money to help them with the medical costs. It will start at 6 p.m. The cost will be $10, and any other donations would be greatly appreciated. It will be held at the Tyronza Senior Center. There will also be a baked goods auction. Anyone who wants to donate to the auction or to the firefighter can call 870-487-2168.

Tyronza's Christmas parade will be Friday, Dec. 1, with lineup starting at 5:30 p.m. on the service road beside A & A Food Store. The parade will be at 6 p.m.
