OKLAHOMA – Judith (Stout) Gibson was born September 18, 1939 in Manila, Ark. to J.L. and Dena (Hamric) Stout. She grew up in Trumann, Ark. and married Larry Gibson on August 9, 1957. She was a military wife for 20 years and them moved to McAlester. She had a career with the federal government for 30 years and then worked as a tax preparer for 14 years. She was a longtime member of Haywood Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Larry; one son, James and wife Rhonda of Kirtland, N. Mex; four grandchildren, Lance Gibson and Stacy Baron of Farmington, N. Mex., Bryan Purdom of St. Paul, Minn. and Ashley Millikan of Vinita, Okla.; five great-grandchildren, Kaitlin, Kyler, Johnny, Atty and Aili; one brother, Jerry Stout of Cherokee Village; one sister, Cathy Stout of Trumann; one sister-in-law, Peggy Wilkins and husband Bill of Benton and one brother-in-law, Bill Teague of Trumann.
She was preceded in death by one child, Darlene; mother and father-in-law, James and Thelma Gibson; one sister, Mary Teague; one sister-in-law, Carol Stout; one brother-in-law, Gary Gibson and her parents.
