TRUMANN - Gorden Dale Clay, 73, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at NEA Baptist Hospital. He was born in Marked Tree on June 2, 1944 to H.C. and Alice (Erwin) Clay. Gorden was a member and deacon of the First Baptist Church of Trumann. He worked for American Greetings for 43 years. He enjoyed deer hunting and watching the Hogs with his grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Dion Clay; sister Suzzie Michaels.
Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Phyllis Toombs Clay; daughter, Kris Jones, of Trumann; grandchildren, Clay Jones of Trumann and Jacob (Kayli) Jones of Jonesboro; brothers, Jimmy Clay of Lincoln Park, Md., Ronnie Clay of Jonesboro and Donald Clay of Caraway; sisters Shirley Kausler of Trumann and Doris Radloff of Dickeyville, Wisc.
Funeral services were held Dec. 15th at the First Baptist Church in Trumann with Bro. John Maley and Bro. Rick Stevens officiating. Burial followed at the Caraway Cemetery. Pallbearers were Steve Jones, David Kausler, Keith Michaels, Jon Carmichael, Barry Riley, Mike Riley, Freddy
Wilson and C.W. Toombs. Honorary pallbearers were the Men's Sunday School Class and the Deacons of the First Baptist Church of Trumann.
