Junior Lady Wildcats get home win over Westside

Trumann's Caroline Morgan scored 11 of her game high 21 points in the second quarter to blow open a close game as the Junior Lady Wildcats beat Westside 55-31 this past Monday in Trumann.

The Junior Lady Warriors jumped out to an early 4-0 lead before Trumann came back tied the game on an inside basket from Christina Jean-Paul and two free throws from Hannah McClaughlin. Westside got a stick back basket as Haley Mathis scored inside for Trumann to make it 6-6 with 2:14 left. The Junior Lady Warriors canned a three-pointer, Morgan hit two free throws, Westside scored from the paint as Morgan got inside for basket to make the score 11-10 Junior Lady Warriors after one.

Morgan opened the second quarter with a three-pointer and a basket inside as Westside got a steal and layup to make it 15-13 Trumann. The Junior Lady Wildcats scored the next nine points as Morgan got a steal and layup, Nygeria Jones hit one of two free throws, Kayde Jones hit a jumper in the lane before Morgan scored off the fast break and added two free throws to make it 24-13 Trumann with 2:35 left. Westside hit two free throws only to see Trumann get an inside basket from Kayde Jones and a stick back followed by two free throws form Emma Turner making the score 30-15 Junior Lady Wildcats at the half.
