Lady Wildcats pick up road win at Harrisbug

Trumann used a strong third quarter to build a nine point lead before withstanding Harrisburg's fourth quarter furry to post a 41-36 win last Thursday at the Hornets' Nest.

The Lady Wildcats jumped out to an 11-0 lead as Kayla Spence scored inside, Olivia Greenwell canned a three-pointer, Spence scored inside again, Tay Smith hit two free throws and Spence hit a jumper with 3:44 left in the quarter. Ansley Wixson got the Lady Hornets on the board with two free throws and followed with a basket in the paint to make it 11-4 Trumann. Mycha Wilson scored inside for the Lady Wildcats to make it 13-4 Trumann at the end of one.

Wixson and Cassie Armstrong hit back to back three-balls for Harrisburg around a jumper from Trumann's Anna Waleszonia to make the score 15-10 Lady Wildcats with 4:38 left. Abby Edwards put back an offensive rebound for Harrisburg, Trumann got one of two free throws from Spence before Edwards added two free throws for the Lady Hornets to cut the Trumann to 16-14 at the half.
