Hornets get 11-1 win over Wildcats

Zach Biggers limited Trumann to one run on four hits as Harrisburg beat the Wildcats 11-1 in 4A-3 conference play this past Tuesday in Trumann.

Jamason King popped out leading off the top of the first for the Hornets as Dylan Mathis reached on an error. Mathis stole second base before Walker Brown singled to score Mathis making it 1-0 Harrisburg. Brown stole second base, Biggers popped before Auggie Wicker singled to plate Walker Brown making the score 2-0 Hornets. Clay Wright struck out for the third out. Gunner Parks led off with a bunt for Trumann only to run into the ball after leaving the batter's box and being called out. Jax Williams grounded out as Jesse Penter watched strike three go by to end the inning with Harrisburg up 2-0. Hayden Creecy walked to lead off the top of the second for the Hornets and went to second on an errant throw. Creecy stole third base before being tagged out at home on a fielder's choice grounder by Lance McGinnis. McGinnis stole second base before David Whitman grounded. King's single scored McGinnis to make it 3-0 Harrisburg. King was tagged out after getting in a rundown for out number three. Jackson Walton grounded out leading off for Trumann in the bottom half of the second inning as Rafe Samuel was hit by a pitch. Chris Webb struck out before Samuel was thrown out trying to steal second base to end the inning with Harrisburg leading 3-0.
