Kline one-hits conference foe Marked Tree in 11-1 win

Kern Kline only allowed one hit as his Warrior teammates gave him plenty of run support in an 11-1 win over Marked Tree at home this past Thursday.

Eli McCrary led off with a walk for Marked Tree in the top of the first inning as Aaron Hutchens popped out and Kentarius Allen struck out. Chaz Simmons drew a two-out walk as he and MrCrary were left stranded when Braden Francis struck out for the third out. Korben Wiggins led off with a triple for EPC as Kline drew a walk. Peyton Phillips reached on an error that scored Wiggins making it 1-0 Warriors. Hunter Taylorís fielderís choice scored Kline making it 2-0 EPC as courtesy runner Drew Lung was out at third. Hayden Malone flew out, Preston Rains walked before Trey Howard watched strike three to end the inning. Kline struck out the side in the top of the second as Jackson Parrish went down swinging, Nick Kinney looked at strike three and Jarrett Harsson struck out swinging to keep the score 2-0 Warriors. Gavin Constant struck out leading off the bottom half for EPC, Lane Sanders legged out an infield single only to be tagged out when he rounded first and was tagged by the first baseman. Wiggins grounded out to end the inning with EPC up 2-0.
