Town hall meetings set to discuss sales tax

With the upcoming vote on a one cent sales tax for the sheriff's office and detention center during the general election in November, Sheriff Kevin Molder will host several town hall meetings where he will meet with the public to explain the need for the tax and talk in detail about what they will do with the revenue generated.

Meetings are set for the following dates:

*Harrisburg, 6 p.m., Tuesday Sept. 4, at the Fine Arts Building.

*Trumann, 6 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 13, at the Trumann Middle School Cafeteria.

*Tyronza, 6 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 18, at the Tyronza Senior Center.

*Marked Tree, 6 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 11, at Marked Tree City Hall.

*Lepanto, 6 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 23, at Lepanto City Hall.
