Betty Sue Brashears, 80, of Lepanto, died October 15, 2018 at NEA Hospital in Jonesboro. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Lepanto. Ms.Brashears was born November 23, 1937 in Yazoo City, MS to C.R and Nanny Coats Needham. "Betty lived her life genuinely loving her sweet Savior and others around her so well. She was unfailingly selfless, possessed the sweetest servant heart, and looked to things eternal rather than settling for the temporary things of this world. Betty will always be remembered for the kindness she showed to anyone she came in contact with, her sweet laughter and spunky sense of humor, and her words of wisdom that were so freely given." She was preceded in death by her parents, one son James Brashears, two brothers William Needham and Tommy Needham and one sister Lois Gill. She is survived by four son Wade (Kay) Brashears of Marked Tree, Chuck Brashears of Houston, TX, Mark (Linda) Brashears of Cabot and Tod Brashears of Atlanta, TX, three daughters Rosemary Stiles of Lepanto, Patty (Kenny) Stallings of Caraway and Nancy (Chuck) Grogan of Flowood, MS, one brother Louis "Buddy" (Effie) Needham of Arkansas, one sister Edith Cox of Marked Tree, fourteen grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter on the way. Visitation was Thursday, October 18, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Lepanto. Funeral was Friday, October 19, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Lepanto. Burial was held at Tyronza Cemetery in Tyronza with Bro. Greg Dills and Bro. Kyle Rhea officiating.
