Trumann (7-3, 5-1) moved into a first place tie for 4A-3 conference race with a 49-33 win over Westside this past Friday at RMC Stadium. Will White completed five of ten passes for 122 yards and four touchdowns as Jay Morgan had 12 carries for 37 yards and a touchdown while catching two passes for 40 yards and two touchdowns. Noah Milligan rushed 10 times for 73 yards a touchdown and MJ Barnes caught three passes for 82 yards and two touchdowns. Milligan had 10 tackles to lead the Wildcat defense as Gunner Parks and Barnes finished with six and five tackles respectively. Cole Bingham added a fumble recovery for Trumann.
Harrisburg (3-6, 1-5) was eliminated from playoff contention this past Friday as the Hornets fell 54-22 on the road to Hoxie. Jett Jackson completed 10 of 16 passes for 112 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions while rushing for 88 yards on 14 carries. Tayeshaun Warren had 14 carries for 88 yards and two touchdowns, Ross Heeb had six catches for 78 yards and a touchdown as Jared Lindsey caught three passes for 26 yards. Ray Michael Jones led the Hornets' defense with 12 tackles as Jacob Wallace finished with eight tackles. Jamason King had an interception for Harrisburg.
EPC (6-3, 4-2) traveled to Salem and were handed a 42-6 loss by the Greyhounds this past Friday night. Preston Rains finished the night 10 of 13 passing with 116 yards and two interceptions as Rayshon Gates had 12 carries for 38 yards. Deuce Moore had four catches for 56 yards and TJ Bush had two catches for 39 yards. Austin Baker had a 73 yard kickoff return for EPC's only points of the night. Ty Garrett had five tackles to lead the defense with Austin Gibbs adding four tackles. Rains had a fumble recovery for the Warriors.
The Trumann Junior Wildcats (6-3, 5-2) capped off their season with a 34-22 win over Westside last Thursday night in Jonesboro. Gaven Guy had 18 carries for 180 yards and two touchdowns to lead the offense as Rian King added 11 carries for 41 yards and a touchdown. Garner Henderson and Dawson Shuburte each had a touchdown run. King, Hunter Holladay and Henderson each had three tackles on defense as Guy recovered a fumble.
Marked Tree's Junior Indians (1-6, 1-5) lost 18-8 on the road at Rector last Thursday concluding their season. Brylan Honeycutt completed one of five passes for 79 yards with a touchdown and an interception as Aayden Johnson had the touchdown catch. LaRay Brown had nine tackles to lead the defense with Corey Jacobs finishing with eight tackles. William Constant, Itavious Nesbitt and Timothy Risper each had a fumble recovery for Marked Tree.
EPC (6-1-1, 5-1) ended their junior high football season with a 30-6 win over Salem last Thursday at Warrior Field. A request for stats by the PCDT was not returned by press time.
