Lady Warriors lose on the road to Earle

EPC played a close first half but couldn’t keep up in the second half as the Lady Bulldogs posted a 61-30 win over the Lady Warriors this past Friday in Earle.

Earle got on the board first before Bre Ward hit a jumper in the lane for the Lady Warriors to tie the game at two. The Lady Bulldogs scored the next six points as Emili Mangrum scored inside for EPC to make it 8-4 Earle with 3:10 left. The Lady Bulldogs scored a basket in the paint as Bre Ward scored inside before hitting one of two free throws for EPC to make it 10-7 at the end of one.

The Lady Bulldogs pushed their lead to 14-7 as Mangrum scored inside for EPC to make it 14-9. Earle scored the next five points before Mangrum scored inside again to make it 19-11 Lady Bulldogs with 2:26 left. Earle canned a three-pointer, Bre Ward hit one of two free throws only to see the Lady Bulldogs get a stick back basket making it 24-12 Lady Bulldogs. Tileyah Ward hit a runner in the lane for EPC as Bre Ward canned a three-ball from the top of the key to make the halftime score 24-17 Earle.
