Warriors get conference win over Earle

In a tale of two halves, Earle led after the first two quarters only to see EPC lead the last two quarters in taking a 55-46 win over the Bulldogs this past Friday in Earle.

Preston Rains scored inside for EPC to give the Warriors the early 2-0 lead before Earle got a stick back basket to tie the game at two. Lavonta Taylor scored inside for the Warriors only to see the Bulldogs score the next eight points to go up 10-4 with 2:59 left. Michael Williams canned a three-pointer for the Warriors, Earle hit one of two free throws as TJ Bush hit a baseline jumper for EPC to make it 11-9 Bulldogs. Earle added three more points in the quarter to take a 14-9 lead after one quarter of play.

EPC scored the first five points of the second quarter as Bush hit one of two free throws, Jamario Burris scored inside before Bush added a basket inside to tie the game at 14. Earle hit a jumper and converted an old-school three-point play to go up 19-14 only to see EPC get a jumper and two free throws from Taylor and two free throws from Rains to take a 20-19 lead with 4:02 left. The Bulldogs hit a three-pointer and a jumper before Bush nailed a three-ball for EPC to make the score 24-23 Earle at the half.
